A Biology graduate and journalist, I aspire to bridge science and society. Aiming to contribute to societal progress, I envision a world wherein science is effectively communicated and research data are used as evidence to support context-specific interventions for improving human health and welfare. I believe in the power of engaging writing—that sheds light on contemporary issues and perspectives, recognizes the underside of the mainstream, and understands the complex dynamics of systems. While my scientist persona takes a great interest in neurophysiology and cancer plasticity, I am also enthusiastic about music and sports.

Old legends never die: Philippine mythology in modern times

It would be a terrible blow to Philippine history and culture if the rich diversity of our myths were to be lost to the swift-moving hands of time, neglected amidst the oversaturation of stories emerging from various sources.
